Come join us at Crystalbrook Retreat to celebrate World Peace Day this Sunday 7th March, 2010.

Starting at 10am, we will have a World Peace Day prayer and meditation ceremony for world peace led by a buddhist meditation teacher & a spiritual healer.

Bring your children, or come and bushwalk among the abundant wildlife and ancient land.

You can also finish your morning with a BBQ at the nearby Lake Proserpine.

Crystalbrook Retreat is located 25km west of Proserpine on Crystalbrook Road and is opposite Camp Kanga. You can bring your own prayer to share and these will be buried on Crystalbrook Retreat land.

If you’re not physically able to attend Crystalbrook Retreat, we would so love to have you participate in the ceremony from wherever you are in the world. Leave a comment in the blog and we will plant it in the land as well.

We just came across this wonderful kit home company Modak Homes that makes gorgeous environmental kit homes… we’re thinking these would go so beautifully out on the retreat.

We’re thinking of getting our own to live on out there. This pic is of an “Outback” one which has nice big verandahs… it will probably look more “Balinese Tropical” out at the retreat once it’s surrounded by Whitsunday land, and lots of yummy gardens…

I just found these videos I took a few months ago, and thought I’d share them to give you all an idea of what it’s like to live out at Crystalbrook Retreat.

This first video is of me and my little sister Maryanne hanging out at the back of Crystalbrook Retreat, where we created our bushrock, driftwood and crystal labyrinth in the long grass by a creekbed. There are also special guest appearances by our horses.

Watching back over this is so beautiful and a little bit synchronicious – at the end, we joke about there being another little soul joining the clan… and one week later, one really did, and my love and I fell pregnant!

And this video is what it’s like to wake up in this part of the world… at my parent’s farmhouse which is a couple of kilometres from Crystalbrook Retreat.

I hope these videos help you get more of a feel for our special land… we love it so very much, and can’t wait to share it with even more beautiful souls… and for them to build their own sanctuaries here.

If you’re called to being at Crystalbrook Retreat, there are some options for making your own big dream come true.

1.) You could possibly buy as a collective with family and friends. Blocks start at 4 acres, and it can be as cheap as $3 000 per 500 square metre block (the usual suburban house block size).

2.) Only 10% deposit is required now, with the rest in mid-2010.

3.) There is no need to build within a time frame, so you can take your time to grow into it and build your sanctuary in your own time.

If you are in the Whitsundays region, you can always phone or email my lovely mum Marilyn to arrange to come and see Crystalbrook Retreat’s land for yourself.

Hola lovely souls!

We’re slowly adding to our Crystalbrook Retreat tribe, and I wanted to share this photo of our latest member… a little merbaby!

I was so blessed to have mama & dad & lil sis fly down here to Canberra to come to our ultrasound with us… we’re very blessed… and can’t wait to be living back up in the Whitsundays at the Retreat, raising our little merbaby out there.

We’ve had a few lovely emails this week from people interested in buying some land and becoming a part of the Retreat – so good to connect with such wonderful souls!

Just to reassure, we don’t have a “selection process” as such for being a part of the Retreat… we believe the right people will be called there by the land, and we’ll end up with the perfect people in our community.

Also, you can just put a 10% deposit down now, until we get the rest of the titles & operational works finished which should be around July 2010… we hope this will work out really beautifully for everyone, so you can start saving for the rest now.

And also… we really need to find the lovely people who are wanting to buy out there so that we can make sure Crystalbrook Retreat stays zoned on the town plan as being able to be bought as acreages by lovely souls. So if you are called to being out there, or know someone who might be interested, please do let us know.
